COVID-19: Indoor environments and energy usage

Dr Tam Menneer leads the first in our series of webinars about our research into technology, homes and communities.

In response to COVID-19, there was public health advice to increase hand-washing and to stay at home. We draw on long-term and high-frequency datasets recording household utilities, indoor and outdoor environment profiles, as well as survey data, to test if public health advice impacts on behaviours during the lockdown. We will report changes in indoor air quality, water usage and energy usage during the lockdown period compared with the same period in 2019.

Learn about the research and ask questions of those involved in our interactive 90-minute online session.
