What is this event? A grant writing workshop on Innovate UK funding providing guidance on user-centred design and how to construct compelling applications
Innovate UK is launching a new funding competition called 'Healthy Ageing - Mindset Competition'
The aim of this competition is to develop digital therapeutic XR solutions that may be applied and trialled following a two-year R&D cycle, with the potential to be adopted at scale to form part of the UK’s formal mental healthcare ecosystem.
Projects will undertake research and development in the application of Extended Reality (XR) to provide mental health care solutions for young people and older adults.
This call provides an ideal opportunity for Immersive Business & Smartline to hold a hybrid online & in-person workshop to give companies context of what Innovate UK funding is all about and guidance on how to construct compelling applications.
The session will cover the following:
User-centred design thinking from Smartline
Where Innovate UK sits within the UK R&D funding landscape
High-level details on key changes coming within innovation funding in UK
Particular details on how applications are assessed and what is required to score highly in each section
Guidance on how to construct compelling applications
Information on how Immersive Business, Smartline and the Universities can support applications
This workshop will use the Healthy Ageing - Mindset Competition as a basis for examples, but the guidance will be relevant to any company from any sector looking at Innovate UK as a source of innovation funding.
