About this event

The importance of ensuring health equity in digital innovation and evaluation is arguably hard to ignore. Healthcare regulators and commissioners are increasingly looking for evidence of meaningful co-design with relevant stakeholders, particularly with stakeholders considered to be ‘seldom heard or ‘easy to ignore’. However, practical examples and advice on exploring health equity in digital innovation are often hard to come by. This interactive session, therefore, provides an evidence-based introduction on how to work towards health equity in co-design. The content is tailored for SMEs working in digital health with plenty of opportunities to discuss how health equity in co-design may benefit both current and future innovations.

Aim

To provide an interactive session with practical and evidence-based guidance on how to meaningfully undertake co-design in healthcare innovation with a particular focus on ensuring health equity.

Objectives

- Explore the meaning and importance of health equity in relation to innovation

- Understand the principles of meaningful co-design

- Consider practical examples of how to design, deliver and evaluate co-design activities through a health equity lens
