People and Covid-19: what’s the impact?

These are strange times indeed but what is the impact on vulnerable people in our society and could there be any long term benefits?

Karen Spooner of Volunteer Cornwall and Phil Gilbert of Coastline Housing talk to us about their experiences of working with vulnerable people and we explore:

  • Technology - has the situation forced people to get online and has this been beneficial? Will it last?

  • Wellbeing - how are people coping? Are there likely to be long term mental health issues?

  • Volunteering - there’s been a big rise in informal volunteering, is this likely to mean more of us volunteering in the future? And what is it like to volunteer on the frontline?
