Smartline enterprise support

Our aim is to help Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly develop innovative products, services and processes by exploring how technology can be used to improve people’s health and wellbeing. The project has helped to de-risk the research, development and innovation (RD&I) process by offering collaborative research schemes which reflect enterprise need.

Knowledge Exchange is a diagnostic, exploring the issues facing your business, opportunities ahead and scope for collaboration with our researchers to develop your innovation idea.

Idea Generation Grants to work up innovative ideas that explore new products, services and processes that address the aims of the project.

The In-Residence Scheme finances the time enterprises spend on research activities so they can better understand and cultivate the research opportunities available to support enterprise innovation and growth.

A Follow-On Fund has been established to directly support the development of new products, services or processes connected with Health, Wellbeing and Digital Technologies.

Free access to our data sets on home management, occupant behaviour and customer feedback.

Smartline events are where we share the research findings, undertake workshops around specific enterprise needs and opportunities with digital technology and collaborate on defining the problems and how digital technologies could be developed to address these.
